Project Overview
The primary objective of Next-generation Cryogenic Transfer and Autonomous Refueling (NeCTAR) is to minimize fuel loss, improve transfer reliability, and integrate autonomous systems that reduce the need for human oversight in fuel transfer operations. NeCTAR’s secondary objective is to better understand two-phase fluid behavior in low-gravity environments. By implementing innovative fluid management systems and autonomous diagnostics, NeCTAR will provide real-time monitoring, fault detection, and self-correction capabilities during refueling.
