Project Overview
The Revitalization and Expansion of Ground Station (REGS) project is intended to help current and future members of the lab explore amateur radio and radio frequency (RF) technology. The project currently includes receiving transmissions from satellites, airplanes/airports, and HAM radio operators. All transmissions from satellites, airplanes, and the local Easterwood airport ATC tower will be uploaded to data aggregation websites such as SatNOGS, FlightAware, and LiveATC. These websites take uploaded data from users around the world and allow anyone with access to the internet to see and interact with the data.
