Fannin Elementary STEM Night
Members of the lab were invited to explain their current projects to the future STEM students of Fannin Elementary. Students and parents alike were excited to ask questions about AggieSat6, and a bicycle wheel was used to give students a hands-on demonstration of how a gyroscope might help to stabilize a satellite.
Night at the ZACH

AggieSat Laboratory was invited to participate in the annual Night at the ZACH event, which invites Texas Science and Engineering Fair participants to explore the different organizations and STEM opportunities that Texas A&M provides students. Over 5,000 high school and middle school students and their families attended for the 2023 event, and the lab was beyond excited to describe each of our current projects to inquisitive minds.
SWE STEMfest
March 4th, 2023
The Society of Women Engineers invited the lab to come to their annual STEMfest. This event exposes local girl scouts to STEM applications through various activities and demonstrations. AGSL was honored to introduce space systems engineering to this curious audience.
School Club Roundup with W5AC
February 20th, 2023
Hudson Spillers, the president of the Texas A&M Amateur Radio Club W5AC, invited AggieSat members to participate in a School Club Roundup. This roundup is a five day competition where Amateur Radio operators compete to make the most contacts with other stations. We helped W5AC receive a ranking of fifth in the College/University division of the February 2023 competition.
